2008 Coins for Kids Project
Imagine being completely innocent, but imprisoned.
Bolivian prisons are sad places with very little food or resources.
The living conditions are terrible.
Now imagine that you are still a child.
Children in Bolivian prisons don't understand why they are there. They didn't do anything wrong to deserve that kind of life.
Why Bolivian Hope Center?
In Bolivia, when mothers are incarcerated, their children live in prison as well. Conditions in these prisons are deplorable. When the prisons become too crowded, the guards turn older children out on the street. Missionaries Rich and Sandee Farthing are ministering to these children in prison and working to provide shelter and education for the children who are turned out on the street. The 2008 Coins for Kids funds will help Rich and Sandee build a facility that will house 36 children for an average of 2-5 years.

Download and print free coin collection can labels. These fun labels wrap around a potato chip can for a new way to collect money for Coins for Kids. Print on Avery full sheet 8.5x11 labels or white paper and attach with tape.
What is CFK?
Coins for Kids is the missions arm of Girls Ministries. Each year the national Girls Ministries Department, in cooperation with the Assemblies of God World Missions and Home Missions, selects a missions project that specifically affects children. Projects that the Coins for Kids fund has assisted include providing translation of the Girls Ministries curriculum into Spanish, HealthCare Ministries, playground equipment for the Native American Fellowship, House of Grace orphanage in Thailand, a bus for the choir at Hillcrest Children's Home, Mexico street children, equipment for the outreach of Inner City Church of Minneapolis and Chicago City Church, God 4 Girls ministry in Juarez, Mexico, and the Hagar Home Maternal Center in Romania.
Girls Ministries partners with the Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge—BGMC. The Coins for Kids offering received during the Nationwide Girls Ministries Sleepover not only benefits the national missions project but also contributes to BGMC when mailed to the national Girls Ministries Department.
What can you do in your church?
Order Coins for Kids coin and cash cards and distribute them to your girls. The cards are free. Contact Gospel Publishing House at 1-800-641-4310 and order as many as you need (Item # 734110). Encourage your girls and sponsors to fill coin cards with quarters, cash, and checks and turn them in during the Nationwide Girls Ministries Sleepover. Your church will total the money and send a check to the national Girls Ministries Department where you will receive BGMC and World Ministries giving credit for their giving. Please do not send coin cards through the mail.
Coins for Kids projects run from April through March each year. Any contributions that are received after March 31 of each year will be applied toward the next year’s project. Contributions are receipted for the calendar year in which they are received.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 2007 Coins for Kids project, Touched Romania! With your help, we were able to set a new record for Coins for Kids. $169,872! What a blessing for Raegan Glugosh and the Hagar Maternity Home in Romania!
